Are you a fan of chess by any chance in real life? Well, if you want, now you can play a chess game on your phone. The game itself is called Chess- Play and Learn and it will fulfill your every need as a chess player. As you can probably tell by the title of the game, the game will grant you the chance to learn about how to play and actually do something with chess if you haven’t familiarized yourself with chess beforehand.
There are a lot of players that you can play against in real time. And I think one of the best features that could be a necessarily bad thing is the fact that there is no chat box in the game. I mean it’s nice for me because I’m not a big fan of texting with strangers in a random competitive game because sometimes people bring out their negativity in games which makes the game less but more intolerable. I feel like there are a lot of players who just won’t make you have a good time in the chess world. But other than that, the online mode where you compete with others is for sure a blast. There are a lot of players for which you don’t have to wait forever to get into a match or anything like that. And also the game advertised that there are 60 million players which I think could be true because I know chess is fun around the globe.
The interface in this game isn’t the greatest I’ve seen but I get it because developers in board games spend the majority of their time on things like the game itself by making more changes or making the matches more fun. Also one of my favorite features about the game has to be the training session where they teach you how to play the game defensively or offensively by choosing the right move to deploy. It’s hard to learn in real life if you don’t have anyone that you can connect to who plays chess a lot. It’s pretty helpful for newbies like me since I can just download the game and get better over time by practicing more and getting into more matches with people around the world.
You are also given the chance to make your profile pictures and there will be location information given on your profile pictures. This is fun and also the ranking system makes those people who are masters of chess want to do more in the game so they will stick longer than other users because nobody wants to lose to other great skilled people There are also themes of chess background you can choose from which I find it fascinating. Because the background is something that people forget about and everyone is used to the original background without paying too much attention to the alternatives of changing it up.
But despite those positive aspects of the game, the game needs work to improve for the better. Some players complain about the fact that the game freezes on itself and therefore caused them of losing progress. That’s never fun to go through and there isn’t anything you can do to rejoin the game or anything that you can do to get back on your horses. Also, individuals bring up the fact that with a perfectly stable and connected network, there could still be times when the connections suffer a lot for no reason. I’m just glad that the developers are responding to what people are sharing and making more progress on fixing the game by doing changes and updates unlike for some other games.
