Another game that you probably see all over the internet since the very beginning, is the last Shelter: Survival. You see the crazy ads of equipping your city up like a fortress then all those zombies just going crazy all over the cities. It’s quite cool and you will probably be wondering what’s about to happen next in this game. And today, I will be walking you through this game to lead you to this game that you heard about or glanced at for quite some time but still haven’t tried out yet.
The game background as you might assume already is set place in a period of the post-apocalypse Era. You will be the commander of the city that you will be guarding. So just understand that you are the one who is in charge so you don’t want you or your fellow people to become one of the zombies or as some people might refer to it “the walking dead”. You have the opportunities to let in refugees and expand your city more but everything has to be a strategic move because this isn’t the time that you have everything and you can go anywhere you want to go. This is a time of desperation and you will have to have control over the empire’s whole population. That’s why I feel like the game did a good job of connecting to the assumption of a zombie outburst reality which will make people pay more attention and connect to the game.
There are also all kinds of forces you can use and you will be fighting your enemies with tactics. Your job is to find the zombie's weakness and use the correct form of the military to eliminate most of them and loot the most resources without putting out too much effort or losing too many allies. Either soldier with guns or tanks or cars with turrets on them is all up to you to decide because you are the one who is in charge of so many people’s lives. And something that you probably already saw in the ads is that you will have towers that will surround your city/empire which will shoot off the zombies that try to approach. It’s the same in the gameplay because you need to upgrade those towers to make sure that your city isn’t overflowed with zombies. I like this feature because it makes me think that where I should put most of my resources so this isn’t just a random game that you can just pick up your phone and have fun. It’s a game that requires you to think about war and zombies. The graphics in this game isn’t bad at all and the idea of zombies surrounding a city somehow makes me want to play daily.
There are problems with this game as well like most mobile games. The game sometimes will be frozen for some players which are unfortunate, especially for those who are constantly playing the game with a lot of effort. The game locks them out for some reason but I’m also quite glad that the developers of the game are getting in contact with them regarding a realistic solution for them to solve their problems. The progress is overwritten after switching phones also has to be something that players hate to experience. If I were one of these players, I would be so furious about the game. I feel like it would be encouraged for the developer to fix those annoying bugs and glitches to make sure that everyone has a safer overall gaming experience.
