Sonic Dash is one of the fastest free-to-run games SEGA has ever created. It brings the fast gameplay of the classic Sonic games and puts it into a modern F2P adventure game where you control Sonic the Hedgehog and his buddies in a 3-lane running map. There may not be an end goal in the main mode, but you must collect as many energy rings as you can. Why? Because Power Rings unlock new characters, new locations, and even new upgrades. Throughout the game, you must also keep track of your score. Initially, it doesn't do much. That is until you discover that certain points lead to achievements. These achievements provide gems that unlock advanced items and multiple power rings that can be added to your ring library.
Fun, especially if you love sonic and endless running games. Building up the animal's homes is a fun goal to look forward to after all the time spent running. Characters are fairly easy to get and it doesn't get too frustrating to play. So far it's pretty good, no bugs, the ads aren't excessive, and I caught along to what I do pretty quick. But the longer you run, the faster the game will be, which is the best way to play Sonic Dash. Most of the time, you will have to face Dr. Robotnik before you enter the new world. A series of moves will appear on the screen and you will need to follow it to defeat him. In addition, you can choose which side you want to go to before changing to another world. However, be careful; some sides are much more difficult, while others are full of rings.
Missed a jump and want to pick up where you left off? You can buy revival tokens with red rings, which you earn by completing optional quests. Or, naturally, you can spend real money on red and gold rings. It's not hard to accumulate gold rings, but earning red rings requires a significant investment of time, so be prepared to grind it out or get used to starting over every few minutes. You don't have to spend real money, but given the leaderboards connectivity, you might find yourself wondering if your friend at the top of the food chain paid his way there or earned his spot.
Sonic Dash is free right now, so give it a try. I'm not a huge sonic fan, haven't played any of the 3D games, but it filled me with joy. Hope you have fun here too!
