The Toca Life series is a kid favorite, in part because the apps empower kids to tell the stories they want to tell in the way they want to tell them. The app has a similar structure and feels to Toca Life: Town, but offers kids the chance to interact with the popular Toca Boca characters in a bunch of different places. They can head to the barbershop, the coffee shop, food stands, and other places that you’d find in any major city around the world. With no time limits or other constraints, kids are free to explore to their hearts’ content. When you’re a kid, what greater adventure is there than going for a haircut, trying to cook a meal, or hanging out with friends?
All the keys for unlocking a unique experience are present in a child’s mind, and Toca Boca’s app, Toca Life: City, seems to understand that fact. It provides pint-sized users with a whole universe of interactive backdrops, including a grocery store, a salon, an apartment, and an outdoor food court. There is also an extensive cast of characters varying in height, skin tone, hairstyle. Children like to have control, and Toca Life: City provides them with control. They can customize their roles, transport them to different locations, and participate in various activities. You can freely withdraw money from ATMs, visit food stalls and order whatever they like, or leave items everywhere in the city. This is a very interesting app for children.
Every kid needs to find an avatar to tell their stories. One of the most common things kids do when they start playing a Toca Life game is to find the characters that look the most like themselves and their families. The game offers as many profiles as possible to make something that will make kids all around the world feel included and enable all the amazing stories kids want to tell. So it’s hugely popular with parents because they are suitable for children and are highly creative and educational.
